Must-sees in Santorini



Without a doubt, something that compels tourists to the island of  Santorini is the warm and welcoming image of towns painted white with their blue cupolas. Let’s not forget about the crystal-clear water beaches, or its partying, which could be compared to its neighbor Mykonos.

There are plenty of forums and websites that’ll tell you that three days in Santorini is enough, but that’s not entirely true. Fully knowing this island will take you a week, as long as you want to fully enjoy it. If not, then taking a good decent look will take you at least four days.

Must-see towns: Fira and Oia, the first of which for its great view of the cauldron and the second, for its magnificent sunset.

Interesting towns: Imerovigli, Firostefani and Pyrgos, we strongly recommend you visit them.

Mandatory beaches: the Red beach, which is named after the red tint of the rocks located behind it; the beaches of Perissa and Perivolos, the beach of Kamari, the beach of Monolithos and the White beach, which, as per its name, is the only beach that has white sand.

Must-do activities: watch the sunset, specially at Oia, Fira or Imerovigli; an excursion to the volcano and its thermal waters.

Optional activities: scuba diving, visiting the isle of Thirasia, wine tasting, trekking, museums, visiting the ruins of Akrotiri and Ancient Thera.
