Megalochori is a beautiful town, with traditional white houses with fences, a white church with a dome and a central square with taverns and few plants in bright fuchsia. The resident population of the village is around 300 people and three of the largest wineries on the island, Santo Wines, Antoniou and Boutari are found nearby.
